CARNAGE Weapons Tier List

Weapons in CARNAGE are not DPS bars. Each one prints a different story: sound, blood, whether it drops, whether it can kill you too. This list ranks them for people who want to finish a chapter, not a montage. The mid-article video is a full showcase; use it to see animations, then use the table for decisions.

You can hold a default weapon and a static weapon together. Static weapons from tasks are alibis and accusations. If you do not know the difference, read how to play before you pick up a Spiky Bat “just in case.”

S tier — low evidence, high control

  • Gloves — Behind-the-back snap, crack sound, no blood, not dropped. Best opener if you can isolate. Counterplay is audio and last-seen.
  • C9 Poison — Silent, no blood, food-based, can self-kill. Chemist exists to hard-counter it. Still S when Chemist is dead or lazy.

These two are why Blackened players stop using hammers.

A tier — strong if you clean

  • Knife — Fast slash, quiet-ish, blood splatters, must drop. Maid plus a mop makes this A. Without cleanup it is B.
  • Tanto — Cutscene slash, blood, must drop. Added after a tiny Discord poll. Play it like a louder Knife.
  • C4 — Huge boom, blood pool, not dropped, can self. Bomber sees other C4. Great for chaos, bad for stealth.
  • Explosive Collar — Smaller boom, blood pool, not dropped. Can be talked onto someone. Survivor’s immunity can eat the detonation.

B tier — loud on purpose

  • Spiky Bat — Kick plus hit, splatter sound, blood, must drop. Patches have already nerfed how often it appears. Treat it as rare and obvious.
  • Gasoline — Match plus puddle, limited uses, not dropped, can self. Area denial more than assassination.
  • Gun — Loud shots, blood, limited ammo, must drop. You are declaring a chapter. Only take it if you want everyone to rotate.

C tier — novelty and bait

  • Toy Hammer — Overhead bash, squeak, blood pool, must drop. Funny, then you are first vote. Use it to frame a chaotic lobby, not to sneak.

Nurse reads the weapon after inspect. Programmer can fake it. That fight is documented on Trials and abilities.

How furniture changes the rank

Weapons live in furniture. Disconnects send them home. Lucky Student and Weapon Artist break empty searches. If two people claim they “never found anything” in the same room, one of them is lying or one of them is Lucky. Map context is on map and tasks.
