How to Win CARNAGE
Three legal finishes, and the habits that actually reach them.
Winning CARNAGE is not a score attack. The match ends when only three people including you are still alive. You can arrive there as a saint, as a liar, or as someone who never touched a knife and never missed a vote. This page is about choosing a path on purpose.
The mid-article video is a community “how to win” pass. Use it for pacing, then come back here for the rules the clip assumes.
Path one: never kill, vote right
This is the default for new players and still the highest win rate for people who talk clearly. You stay Spotless. You collect alibis. You report bodies. You spend Trial bullets on facts. You let someone else become Blackened and you hang them.
What this path needs:
- Map memory from map and tasks so your alibi is a room name, not “I was walking.”
- One investigative Ultimate if the wheel offers it: Nurse, Photographer, Engineer, Chemist, Debater. Ranks live on the tier list.
- Discipline with weapons. Touching a Gun or Spiky Bat as Spotless is how you look like the killer.
If you cannot speak in Trial, this path dies. Practice one sentence: time, place, who you saw.
Path two: kill once, survive the vote
You become Blackened the moment the victim dies. From then on the lobby is a puzzle you created. Blackened is the full checklist. The win condition is the same three-player finish, but you also have a side objective: do not get majority-voted.
Quiet weapons (Gloves, C9, careful C4) beat highlight weapons. Blood, dropped items, and unique sounds are how Spotless hangs you. If the vote fails, you only get to execute someone who voted wrong — so seeding bad votes is part of the win, not an extra.
Do not chain kills unless the lobby is already collapsing. Extra bodies are extra evidence. One clean kill plus a strong Trial is enough to shrink the field.
Path three: outlast the circus
Some lobbies explode. Two Blackened stories, a motive letter, a Cosplayer, a Programmer faking a file. You can win by not being interesting. Eat safe food. Avoid isolated rooms. Vote with evidence, not with the loudest mic. This path still requires you to be alive at three. Hiding in a closet the whole match usually gets you killed by hunger, by a bomber, or by a late deathmatch.
Area 6’s deathmatch is a special case: last standing as Ultimate ??? unlocks Ultimate Survivor. That is an account unlock, not a match win. Do not confuse the two. The unlock guide is secret Ultimate.
Habits that raise every path
- Redeem codes on a break so shop luck is ready, then ignore the shop in-round.
- Learn controls so you can report before someone else drags the body.
- Know which Ultimates fake information. Programmer and Cosplayer exist to make confident players look stupid.
- Use the Trial cheatsheet until bullet modes are muscle memory.
Winning is patience plus one good decision per chapter. If you take a highlight every chapter, you will get a highlight reel and a loss screen.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for this CARNAGE page.
How many players are left when CARNAGE ends?
Three living participants including you. That is the published win condition.
Can I win without ever becoming Blackened?
Yes. Voting and surviving is a complete strategy.
Does killing more people help me win faster?
It shrinks the lobby and also prints evidence. One clean kill is usually safer than a streak.
Is Ultimate Survivor required to win?
No. Survivor is an unlockable talent. The match still ends on the three-player rule.
