CARNAGE Coins and Tickets
What each currency buys, how matches pay you, and when to save.
CARNAGE did not ship with a deep economy. The ALPHA build added Coins and Tickets so wins, codes, and shop luck had somewhere to go. If you are still treating them as flavor text, you are leaving Ultimate rolls and emotes on the table.
This page sits next to the codes hub because most new players first see the counters after a redeem. The currencies also drop from play. Understanding both income paths stops you from wasting a good win on the wrong shop click.
Coins
Coins are the everyday currency. You earn them by winning a Trial as Spotless, by winning a Trial as Blackened, and by redeeming coin codes. Affluent Progeny doubles coin and ticket gains, which is why that Ultimate sits high on the tier list for grinders.
Spend coins on:
- Emotes, opened with G. These are social and can also be used as tells or bait if your lobby is paying attention.
- Ultimate shop odds. The shop can tilt toward stronger or rarer talents. That matters more once you know which roles you actually want from the abilities roster.
Do not empty the stack the first night. A single good shop roll after you understand Nurse, Programmer, and Debater is worth more than three random emotes.
Tickets
Tickets are the scarcer counter. Community notes say they drop when you beat a match through a legal win path — surviving to the three-player finish described in how to win — and when a ticket code lands. They are the reason delay-apology codes felt generous.
Tickets feed the same loop as coins: shop, cosmetics, and long-term account progress. If a code pays tickets, claim it on the redeem guide before you start a ranked-feeling lobby. ALPHA will not warn you that the string is about to die.
How matches pay you
Income is tied to Trial outcomes, not to wandering. Spotless players who vote the Blackened correctly get coins when the Trial ends. A Blackened who survives the vote also gets paid. That design pushes people to argue well, which is why Debater’s extra bullet and longer turns matter. Read Trials if you keep losing the payout because you voted with the herd.
Killing without a plan can still win the match, but a sloppy body with a loud weapon often costs you the Trial purse. Pair this page with weapons so you know which tools leave blood, sound, or a dropped item that becomes evidence.
What currencies will not buy
They will not skip tasks, unlock the whole map, or buy the secret Survivor Ultimate. Survivor is an unlock from the Area 6 deathmatch while you are Ultimate ??? — that path is on the secret Ultimate page. They also will not replace map knowledge. Hunger, furniture, and report routes still live in map and tasks.
If a script vendor promises free coins, stop. Those tools are listed only as a warning on Scripts. Buying or injecting currency is how accounts disappear.
A simple spend order
- Redeem whatever still works on the codes list.
- Sit on coins until you have one match where you understood the Trial.
- Buy shop luck toward roles you already like, not toward mystery.
- Use leftover coins on emotes after you can survive a chapter.
That is the whole economy. It is shallow on purpose. The depth is in the killing game, not the shop.
