CARNAGE Controls
Official keybinds plus the habits that make them matter.
NECR0POLlS prints the important binds on the Roblox experience page. Players still die because they open the Roblox menu instead of the handbook, or because they tap report instead of holding it. This page is the official list with the context the description card skips.
If a bind does nothing, skip dialogue overlays first, then rejoin. ALPHA UI can stick. There is a known class of “consent UI stays on screen” bugs in older patches; Updates tracks that kind of fix.
Official keybinds
| Action | Bind |
|---|---|
| Handbook / menu | M |
| Sprint | Double-tap W, hold the walk button, or L2 |
| Skip dialogue | E, Space, Enter, or click |
| Switch bullet mode (Trial) | Q / E, or touch the gun |
| Switch evidence (Trial) | Hold R |
| Drag or report | Hold Q / E, or hold the UI prompt |
| Walk while dragging | S |
| Emotes | G (after you own some from coins) |
Touch players use the on-screen handbook, hold prompts, and the Trial gun UI. The logic is the same: hold to report, do not tap.
Handbook (M)
M is not optional. It holds Ultimate text, the report card, and the code redeem field. If you never open it, you will play the entire match without knowing whether you rolled Nurse or Cosplayer. Reveal timing still belongs to you; seeing the card is not the same as announcing it. Ultimates explains when to show.
Sprint and stamina
Sprint is how you answer a Gun shot and how you fail a sneak. Athlete boosts run speed, stamina, and health. If you are not Athlete, treat sprint as a budget. Sprinting everywhere makes you look like you just left a body. Walk in public halls. Sprint on purpose.
Report versus drag
The same hold (Q/E or UI) starts both. Reporting a body begins investigation and Trial. Dragging moves the corpse; S lets you walk in drag mode. New Spotless players should report. Blackened players should know drag exists before they need it — see Blackened.
If you tap instead of hold, nothing happens and someone else owns the scene. That is the most common “controls are broken” complaint.
Trial-only binds
Q and E already mean report on the map. In Trial they cycle bullet modes. Hold R to change which evidence is in the chamber. Debater gets more bullets and longer turns, so these binds are that role’s whole kit. Practice them in a lost Trial rather than in a winnable one. The cheatsheet reprints this block.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for this CARNAGE page.
How do I open the CARNAGE menu?
Press M for the handbook. The Roblox escape menu is a different overlay.
How do I report a body?
Hold Q or E, or hold the on-screen prompt. A tap usually does nothing.
How do I sprint?
Double-tap W, hold the movement button while walking, or use L2 on a controller.
Why do Q and E do two things?
On the map they report or drag. In Trial they change bullet mode. Context switches the bind.
